Competitive Cheerleaders Gearing Up for Columbus

The Carrollton Trojan Competitive Cheerleading squad delivered big on Halloween morning in Newnan.  Facing many of the teams that stand between us and the State Championship, this group of determined competitors were ready to roll from the time they arrived.

"This squad has taken on the mentality of winning every single day," said Coach Elizabeth Sanders.  "We talk about winning at practice, winning a specific skill, winning a motion and that leads to winning the day."

Our Trojans took on some of the best squads in AAAA and prevailed.  After the victory, Coach Sanders was looking forward. "We will celebrate for today, but just for today. I told them good job and that the most important day is the next. Some of our girls will be in the gym working individually on Sunday afternoon.  We know our job is not done."

Next up is the Region 5AAAA competition hosted by Carrollton.  The event will take place on Saturday, November 7 at the University of West Georgia.  First team will take the mat at 9:00 a.m.
