TROJANS ROLL TO TITLE

Eight teams descended upon Jekyll Island to participate in the 22nd Annual Jekyll Jam Tennis Tournament.  When it was all done, our Carrollton Trojans took their place atop the podium as champions!  This year's win marks the third time in four years our Gold and Black have emerged as the victors in this tournament.

Carrollton opened the tournament with a 5-0 victory versus Savannah Country Day. Carver Arant won 6-0, 6-1 at line one singles, Kane Caldwell and Connor Best won 6-0, 6-0 at line 2 and 3 singles respectfully. The doubles teams of Ross Martin/Samuel Campbell won 6-0, 6-0 and and Ben Nixon/Jon-Jon Richards won 6-0, 6-1.
On Saturday, our Trojan men defeated River Ridge 4-1. Carver Arant lost a very hard fought match 7-6, 6-3. Kane Caldwell and Connor Best won in straight sets at two and three singles. Ross Martin/Samuel Campbell won in a 3-set battle and Ben Nixon/Jon-Jon Richards won in two convincing sets.
In the championship round, our Trojans defeated Glynn Academy 4-1. Carver Arant, Samuel Campbell/Ross Martin, Ben Nixon/Jon-Jon Richards won in two sets. Connor Best won in a thriller in a 3rd set tiebreaker. 
Samuel Campbell and Ben Nixon have hoisted the Jekyll Jam trophy three times for Coach Ryan Scroggin's netters.
The men's team remains unbeaten at 6-0.  The Gold and Black are back in action tomorrow at 4:30 versus Troup County at Sunset Hills Country Club.
