Coach Ryan Scroggin's TROJAN netters have set a standard in West Georgia that few will ever match.  Entering yesterday's Region 5AAAA Tournament as the number one seed, the TROJAN men looked to do the seemingly impossible.  Win four consecutive region championships!

On a cool overcast afternoon at the South Fulton Tennis Center, our TROJANS, as the number one seed earned a first round bye.  Carrollton got off the bus and stormed the court for the first match of the day.  The Tigers of Fayette County would be the foe.

Our stalwart TROJANS dispensed with the Tiger hopes early, losing only one game in all the matches.  Scoring against Fayette County was overwhelming.

#1 Carver Arant  6-0, 6-1

#2 Kane Caldwell 6-0, 6-0

#3 Connor Best 6-0, 6-0

#1 Doubles
Samuel Campbell/Ross Martin 6-0, 6-0

#2 Doubles
Jon-Jon Richards/Ben Nixon 6-0, 6-0

For the Championship Match, the War Eagles of Woodward Academy stood opposite our TROJANS.  In a difficult match, the Gold and Black refused to lose as Woodward brought their best in each game.  When it was over, WINNER!

#1 Carver Arant 6-0, 6-0

#1 Doubles
Samuel Campbell/Ross Martin 6-3, 3-6, 6-1

#2 Doubles
Jon-Jon Richards/Ben Nixon 6-4, 6-4

The matches with #2 Kane Caldwell and #3 Connor Best were stopped once our TROJANS earned the third match.

Our TROJANS will host the first round of the state playoffs next week.  Stay tuned to TROJAN social media for details.
