HOSCHTON, GA — For the second time since moving to Georgia’s largest classification, the Carrollton Trojans earned a state volleyball playoff win, defeating Mill Creek 3-1 (25-20, 28-26, 21-25, 29-27) on Tuesday.
Senior Maddi Hoffman led the team with 15 kills, surpassing 600 for her career. Jacey Sabo contributed 10 kills, reaching the 400 mark, while Lauren Rooks led with 27 assists.
“I am so proud of this team and the grit they showed tonight,” said head coach Morganne Harper. “I wouldn’t want to coach any other group through all of our moments together.”
The Trojans (25-18) advance to round two of the GHSA tournament and will host North Cobb on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 11:00 AM.
