CARROLLTON, GA — As the fall season winds down, the Carrollton High School esports program has powered its way back into national rankings for the second time in school history.
The Trojans are currently ranked No. 24 in the latest USA Today national poll and are one of eight Georgia schools represented. The program competes in five leagues and has won 86% of its matches this season.
“Being nationally ranked speaks volumes about the level of competition across the state of Georgia,” head coach Robby Blakemore said. “We play the best every week, making us all better as a team. I am proud of our program, and we look forward to competing in the playoffs next week.”
The program has four teams preparing for postseason play in Splatoon, Super Smash Bros., Street Fighter, and Mario Kart. Playoffs begin Monday, Nov. 18, and will continue through the first week of December.
