A surge of community support powered the 38th annual Ben Scott Sports Auction at the University of West Georgia Coliseum on March 21, resulting in a successful night for Carrollton High School athletics.

The Carrollton High School Athletic Booster Club sold more than 830 tickets for the event, raising nearly $175,000 in support of student-athletes.

“The auction at UWG was exceptional, thanks to an incredible community turnout,” said Carrollton High School Athletic Director Elizabeth Sanders. “We are extremely grateful for the unwavering support our booster club and community provide our student-athletes.”

The funds raised will substantially support more than 900 students across 26 sports at Carrollton High School. Specifically, the money will cover items such as letterman’s jackets, travel meals, senior plaques, state championship rings, awards, and attendance at camps and clinics.

CHS Booster Club President Jeremy Pullen was thrilled about the auction's success.

“The support for our student-athletes is truly remarkable,” Pullen said. “Trojan Nation always excels and answers the call when asked. Ticket sales and sponsorship tables showed significant gains. The booster club staff executed the event with excellence. We are extremely thankful for the coaches, administration, and the Coliseum at UWG for their contributions to the event's success.”
