Carrollton High School cross country coach Parker Nail was selected as the state of Georgia winner for boys programs by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The organization announced its state-by-state winners of the annual High School Cross Country Coaches of the Year award, presented by the United States Marine Corps, on Wednesday, Jan. 14. The Trojan boys finished as GHSA state runners-up, with four runners placing in the top 20 individually. Nail is now a finalist for the association’s National High School Cross Country Coach of the Year award, which will be announced in February.
