Building Champions - CMS basketball earns boys and girls league championship

CARROLLTON, GA — The Carrollton Middle School basketball programs are constructing a winning culture early after claiming league titles for the girls and boys. The girls defeated Long Cane 30-26 after Harlow Kendrix hit two free throws to seal the win. She led the team with 13 points, and Zareya Boykin added 9 points with three huge three-pointers. The boys led Callaway 14-11 at the half and came out on fire in the second half, outscoring Callaway 27-7 for a 41-18 victory. Urhiyah George led the boys with 17 points, and Lee Fielder had 13 points.
